Longest day one ever!
We started out at 7:49am from Lake Mary, FL with a plan to get thru Atlanta. We stopped at the Georgia border for a quick photo op. Atlanta traffic was horrible but we made it thru with time to spare and made the decision to chug on to Chattanooga. For some reason Chris was really excited about this even though he had just been in Tennessee last week. Another photo op at the Tennessee border. We didn't have a good plan here, got a bit lost, let the GPS thingy take us in circles more times than we could count. There were no hotels . . . We could not find even one. . . . I don't know where they took them! Our next big decision was to get back on the road and try to find one on the highway. Tennessee could seriously use more hotels. After almost 12 hours on the road we are just outside of Nashville. Maybe we should find a name for the GPS thingy...then it will behave better tomorrow. Chris wants to call it stupid but I doubt that will help our cause. Maybe we should sleep on it. As a side note, Chris has mentioned more than once how really nice people in Tennessee are. So, here we sit at 9:14pm, central time, ready to call it a night. Hopefully we can learn how to download some photos tomorrow. Good night!
